Hi,
If any assesee is receiving Dividend from Mutual Fund & he invests the same, he could take the benefit u/s 80C.
Though Dividend income is exempt from tax, should he show this amount for tax rate purpose.

YES YOU SHOULD SHOW IN FORM ITR-2 THERE IS COLUMN OF EXEMPT INCOME WHERE YOU HAVE TO SHOW THIS DIVIDEND INCOME.
