i am an employee of PSU formed by an act of parliament, my uncle is opening a private ltd company. can i be the director of that company without any complication in my existing job.

Yes you may be appointed as a director in newly formed pvt. co. of your uncle. Appointment as an ordinary director would be a safe option. Do not accept the designation of whole time director or MD.
As far as your existing job is concerned kindly refer the currect terms and conditions for any kind of restrictions.
