Hi Aarathi,

Its better you should refer only one book either institues material of a book. But first check which one is good and exam oriented.

Also you should keep in mind that you will have to go through the suggested answers of previous exams and revisions.

So go for one book, prepare it throughly, reread it and if time permits read some suggetsted answers on the subject. Thats it.

hey aarathi, i studied for about 2 weeks and passed!!! stick to the text book! learn the amendments in all subjects...refer to the journal for that. go to the library, refer to the past 5 attempts question papers to gain an idea on whats important. for tax, refer another book like g sekar or manoharan. as for secretarial practice..u need to study only the cos act provisions...the procedures have a standard set of points, u learn them once and apply them to all. that way only less than half the book is to be covered. for comp law i used G K kapoor's book for cs inter.

it is more than enough...c'mon like i said i studied for 2 weeks! do as i said...it worked for me! every paper has important chapters....when u scan the question papers u will be able to figure them out. keep reading those. its easy...so go for it! good luck!

Even I m going to take up my CS inter this June 06. But unlike u i m going to write only one group. I decided so because I dont have sufficient time to study as I m doing my articleship for CA. If you are doing only CS then it is better to write both groups. Still as far as I know pass % in both groups is slightly lower compared to writing one group. So deciding to write one group or 2 groups plainly depends on the free time u have at home. If u can find around 5 - 6 hours to study with full concentration u can definitely take up both grouos.

Moreover for reference books, it is advisable to study from the material for the foll: papers Gen and COmm laws, Securities laws, labour laws, company law and co. secretarial practice..

For other subjects u can refer outside books. But ensure the syllabus coverage.. And as said by our friend SC, u must go thru sugg, journals, etc.

hi friends, i am also doing cs with my ca , i had given my first group in dec.05 , which i have cleared, second group i am giving in december.

For CS inter , most important weapon is scanner , go through it , understand the weightage of marks alloted to each and every chapter and then give more emphasis on those chapter, and one of most important thing is be positive all the time.

It will really pay u.

I am refering G.K. kapoor for company law and eco.Law.

For General and commercial law- S.S. Gulson is best.

I have CS Inter exam both groups in June 2008. Can any 1 tell me from where i have suggested / guideline answers of previous year questions. Also is just referring to study matrerials of institute enough?

i m ritu.i have completed my b.com. now i m going to give my exams of cs 2nd group in december 2008.but i got marry n i m out of india.i will give my exams in india.i have books and suggested of last 3 years.is it enough to give my exams.and i need some important topics about cs because i have no idea about cs examinations please help me that what is important, and help me that is it compalsary to learn all the sections which is given in books.

what is needful for me for cs inter 2nd group exams which i m giving in dec. 2008.
