cpa exam guidance and US taxation resources

i would like to know some information from you. I am a chartered accountant from india but right now in US. i could not pursue my career in USA because of marriage and then kid. now am planning to start back again.

First thing is i would like to know some good study resources for cpa exam.

second thing is i am planning to start my career in taxation in US. i have to know the laws of the land i.e federal and state laws etc. if i search through internet i get number of sites but nothing can be found from scratch.  i would like to study them in detail be it on internet and/or book study. i have to take time out to search this stuff but unable to do it because of my kid.

can someone help me in this regard. so i can start off without much homework, i know am not being fair :) but i do know someone out there are good enough to help me out.
