my name Manoj Agrawal working as govt. officer in Gujarat. Sir I got intimation u/s 143(1)a for adjustment of Rs. 311136/- according to the form 16 and Form 26 AS.
But I don't found this amount neither in my filed return nor in my Form 16 given by employer and Form 26AS.
Sir I want to know that whether the ITD checked and match my above form and my filed return or otherwise they are sending it without any prior checking on their system.
as I am a regular tax payer and a govt employee not having any other source of income. my salary deposited in my account after deduction of Income tax. I paid income tax more than my liabilities.
Sir can I filed a court case against ITD regarding unnecessary tourcher on tax payer like me.
pls guide me

more over the said amount for adjustment i.e. 311136/- is over and above my gross total salary according to ITD. It says that according to Form 16 and Form 26AS my gross total income is 906771/-. But in reality my gross total income is only 595635/- .
First........ Negate the demand and attach supporting documents whatever you have to claim your objection.........
If CPC agrees to your claim........ nothing can be done for any such mistake..........
But if it sticks to the demand........ you can proceed further......

sir I have already respond through e proceedings with the available documents i.e. Form 16 provided by employer and Form 26AS online printed from TDSCPC site. Besides this I have only one Bank account and that account is my Salary account. and I asked ITD for checking it from April-16 to March-17.

So, you have replied to the query....... Now ball is within ITD court...... Check for its response. This year there is such software related mismamagement and many taxpayers have received such queries....... for that high level representation is already been made by institutes like ICAI....... and department is taking care of it ......... So relax...... finally truth will prevail.
