The Companies Bill is likely to be introduced in Rajya Sabha this week and my query is if it is passed, what are the chances that it would be part of the syllabus for May 14 CA Final exams?

Now that the Rajya Sabha has cleared the Companies Bill, the Council of ICAI will decide on the applicability of New Companies Act once the Presidential assent obtained. Hence, it is wise to wait for the Institute's Notification in this regard rather than speculating on it.
Some people may flaash news to confuse students, with extreme opinions without really knowing the stand taken by ICAI. Therefore, I urge the students to wait for the official confirmation from the Institute w.r.t the applicability of the changes for May 2014 Examination and thereon.
