Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the requirements for CMA practical training under the old scheme, particularly for those aiming for the December 2021 final exam. While training in a CA firm isn't outright forbidden, it's generally not accepted unless the firm has a dedicated management consultancy division where the trainee exclusively worked on relevant cost/management accounting tasks. The consensus is that CMA trainees should ideally seek training within CMA firms or companies.

No you cannot conduct training in CA firm

If the firm of Chartered Accountants/ Company Secretaries has separate Management Consultancy Division and if the applicant has exclusively worked in that division, credence to such service is given on percentage basis depending on the nature of job related with cost/management accounting/ financial accounting/ taxation/ MIS or of similar nature, size of the firm, nature of duties handled by the applicant, size of the client companies etc.

Madam i seen that but i cant clearly understand because CA firm mostly file income tax ,gst and audit ,CA FIRM want to do only one you mentioned above madam

I want clearly

Though there is no outright restriction, I don't think it would be easy to find such firms.

See if your chapter/RC can provide you a precise info.

Cma trainees should do training under any cma firm or from any companies
