Capital gain on ancestral property & there are 5 legal heirs

my grandfather died in 2001 n left ancestral property without
any will and there are 5 legal heir and 3 legal give attorney
without any consideration
Whether it is taxable of 3 legal heir part in my father's hand?
If cost of it in 2001 is 10 lakh and is sold for 12 lakh what amt
Is taxable?

If I have no record of cost then how it is determined?M

Giving a power of attoney without consideration is not equal to relinquishing the rigt they have. A powe of attorneys is only an authorisation to act on one;s behalf.

The cap gains working the figures given by you are too vague.
