Can i file my first return online?

You can file your first return online. Go to www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in and then register. Your PAN number will be user ID, set the password and then everything will be self explnatory.

 

Once you get registered, you can file your return online as well as also can check your TDS credit and can avail other facilities too.

It need not nessesary file ITR Manually.....!!!!!!!!!!!!

Option is yours only which is available to you....!!!!!!!

Dear, Just create log on facility on Incometaxindiaefilling.gov.in with USER ID being your PAN CARD no. Download the appropriate ITR forms, fill it up. Once u fill the same the validate it where .xml will be generated. This .xml file will be uploaded for concerned assessment year in the incometaxefilling.gov.in website. Once it is successfully uploaded, it generates ITR V which you need to download and send it to the Bangalore CPC office as mentioned at the below on ITR V form. You can file return online and no need to file first return physically.

You can file your first return manually or on line as per your coice....

But from assessment 2013-2014 if your income exceed rs. 10,00,000/= it is mandatory to file return online....

Agreed with Neeraj....if icome is less than 10 lakhs then its your option to file itr manualy or e file.
