Ca final costing

Costing is a bugbear,of late looking at the trend its difficult to predict which areas to hit.Cos ICAI in may 12 literally made an attempt to touch up every part of costing...

Allthough my Research and Analysis.

1)Std cost

2)Marginal cost

3)ABC

4) Relevant cost

5)OR

6)theory

should keep u in business

Well the one i ve recommended is selective it self...there cant be more filtering than this i think.i ve ignored modern costing.

In standard Costing, practice simple and conceptual problem. Dont do difficult one if you dont get time.

Use Practice manual completely.

bt i wanted to know can i afford to leave relevant costing,transfer pricing and network in OR ?r these important chapters?bcoz i hv still not done them ,bt i m thru wid all other chapters...........................plz reply ASAP

Relevant Costing - Not difficult to understand this chapter, try to understand the basic concepts and apply your common sense.

Transfer Pricing - Try to understand the  logic and make concepts clear. 

Netwrok - Avoid tricky and timeconfusing problems, but learn the concepts and theory questions.

Dont completely avoid all the three chapters, Try to understand the concepts and practice the problems given in practice manual and past year questions.

Even if you dont understand some problm in practice manual but appears simple then cram it.

Transfer Pricing was asked in May, so it is unlikely to be asked again, maximum, there may be a theory question from it.. And Relevant cost is not a hard nut to crack, covering module and practice manual should be enough for this particular topic and its easier to understand too, a bit of analysis is needed only
