Refer Dinesh Madaan book for ISCA

Dinesh Madan is of simple language, we want to use more of technical words in isca especially..

Refer Manish Valechha ISCA textbook. It is a best selling textbook of ISCA. It is very well written and contains Menory Codes which will help you to remember the subject easily. If you want to score high marks in this subject, do not waste your time in any other book… If you are confused buy all books available in the market I am sure after few days you will be studying Manish Valechha only.

First pfeference = Manish Valecha + practice manual (crisp, clear and to the point)

Second preference = G. sekar (lengthy like study mat but given in question & answer form)

Last option = Dinesh madan (low level book - not recommended if you want high marks in isca)

By studying Madan i got 26 in ISCA and in next attempt by studying institute's study material i scored 66, I didn't even touched PM. Revised thoroughly 5-6 times.
One thing which i experienced is that other reference books of ISCA can help you memorize the points and can simplify the language but to score good in this subject you have to write the language of study material. This is not only my opinion, i asked many of my seniors and they are of the same view.
I think Institute module and practice manual is the best study material for ISCA...No reference book provides you more detailed concepts.
If you got less than 40 marks then it's not a fault of your books because concept of every book will be same ...it's just that few wordings would be different. So instead of changing the book , you should think on changing your strategy.
Even I have studied module and pm and scored exemption in ISCA....So dear...go for any book ...you just need to revise isca 3-4 times and better start preparing notes in theory subjects. It's not that tough ...All the best !

Manish Valecha is nice book, it has some kind of memory tricks (author provides memory codes) that will help you to remember the detail of answer easily. Revision is also easy. I am also studying from this book. Study material is best material for ISCA but topics are not given in a proper sequence it is very dificult to understand and time consuming. Never ignore practice manual as institute ask many questions from prac manual in every attempt.

Don ever fully depend on dinesh madan or any other reference books. ICAI study material is the best and only book which 'll help u to score above 40. But many a times students donts understand from study material, in that case refer any other books for understanding purpose only. amd then come to study mat and prepare for exam from that only. Coz in audit and isca answers written in your own language don't fetch marks, even if the giest is correct.

But the institutes module language is complex....

im still confused between studying from the institute module or Manish vallecha

kindly provide guidance....

I haven't seen manish valecha, I studied from institute material only and covered 80% topic, attended 80 marks in exam and scored 47 too. I never felt study mat is so complex to understand but yes u need patience for isca. I even din revise once, but I suggest at least 3times revision.

All the reference material are like energy supplement capsule, u can't fully rely on that. But if u find study mat difficult to understand, then start with a reference book for understanding and then after one time study relate it with study mat n then start exam preparation from study mat and practice manual.

Advisable to study from the Institute's study resources - Study Material, Practice Manual, Revision Test Papers, Suggested Answers.

You can not reach Professional level by studying simple books.

Best of luck

Dear Nilesh,

We suggest you use Devang Dalal for your reference.

All the Best!

Use Manis Valechha + SM (only for refernce - not needed, all topics are covered in MV's Book) + PM (for practice of important questions - answers are covered in MV's Book)

My personal opnion to don't refer any books, just go strictly with Study mat & pm &  revise atleased 5-6 times, I got 74 in isca by that only
