when it comes down to it

you are the only one you can always rely on

even those closest to you will doubt

heck, even you will doubt yourself

but you can talk yourself out of it

you cannot talk someone else out of it

and honestly, I don’t think you should have to

fears, pressures, stress, get in the way

all they can see is the hand at present

yet you can look to the future

and see the potential

of you

with all your might

and eliminated everyone else?

just for a few minutes?
