Baseless Rumours on prepone of Exams and Institute

Dear Friends..

Today i have received same message from 4 persons and many of the students all over India has received some mails and sms regarding pre-pone of IPCC & FINAL exams which are going to be held in May 2011.

The message said that ICAI has issued a Circular No. 26543D\GD\523 which said that

due to coming elections in West Bengal, Assam , TN,Karela & Pondicherry the ICAI BOS is unable to find sufficient number of examination centres to accommodate all the students & it has been decided to prepone the IPCC & Final Exams b/w 12th April to 26th April.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A BASELESS INFORMATION.

THESE ARE ONLY RUMOURS TO CREATE TENSION IN STUDENTS MIND.

I have checked the institute's Website. Institute has issued the following clarification on 2nd Feb 2011 regarding these rumours.

Clarification Regarding Unauthentic E-mail/SMS chains - (02-02-2011)

2nd February, 2011

It has been brought to our knowledge that certain SMSs/e-mail chains have been generated claiming that the Institute has preponed the May 2011 Chartered Accountants Examinations scheduled to be held from 2nd May 2011 to 16th May 2011 as contained, inter alia, at the Institute website www.icai.org .

It may be clarified that the said SMSs/e-mails are baseless and as of now there is no change in the schedule of the May 2011 Chartered Accountants Examinations (to be held from 2nd May 2011 to 16th May 2011).

Students of ICAI and their stakeholders are advised not to be carried away by these sorts of unfounded/non-authentic messages. They are requested to rely on the Announcements hosted on the Institute’s website www.icai.org or `The Chartered Accountant Student’ the Students Newsletter of ICAI
