Dear Ms. Vartika don't read too much into my words. I am just busy presently ...... you could possibly suggest an idea of mine borrowed from government departments wherein there are separately defined Appointing, Disciplinary and Appellant Authorities. Otherwise not much more can be done considering the Scalar nature of the Chain of Command. (Also, call me old fashioned but I prefer numbering.)

I know the hard work put in .....

Keep me posted ....

Just a thought could you possibly give me a brief of the audit procedures you guys follow ... call it professional curiosity.

first what you should do is to decide on approach you wish to take to the accounting manual. That is top down approach or bottom up approach. In Top down approach you will first decide on management reporting requirement, MIS reporting at various management levels, applicability of various Indian and Intl. accounting stds. other legal requirements and comliances like periodical etds filfing, FBT, advance tax payments etc. and then decide on breaking it down in sub modules.

In Bottom up approcah you will first decide on sub modules, like payroll, inventory, cash flow, capital acquisistion, data entry screens, on screen report generating and reports. Then you move up level by level.

First off, its the duty of CAs to help each other out so no appreciation is needed. (but I am basking in your compliments all the same)

I am would (for knowledge purposes) like to know audit techniques, procedures, programs, methods, processes, software, etc. your firm uses in "typical" audits. (you can email me the stuff if you so wish, but post here if possible since it will help all who visit.)
