I had also raised the query with ICAI through e-sahaayataa and I received the following reply. "18/11/2010 Dear student, Applicability of AS or IFRS is not decided for May 2011 examination. As and when it will be decided, you will be informed through student's Journal, RTP or an announcement in the website. However, you will be required to study Indian Accounitng standards in details and oOverview of IFRS and US GAAPs." Grievance No. 020201023753SH
