I want to appoint a Director as on today. In this case do i need to appoint him as additional director or can directly appoint him as Director ?
Is MGT -14 ie MBP 1 required to be filed along with DIR 12 for appointment or only attachment in the form is fine

After receiving all the documents from the director:- Call the Board Meeting. Pass Resolution for appointment of Additional Director/Director. Issue Letter of Appointment. File e-form DIR-12 [Along with CTC+ Consent + Letter of Appointment) File e-form MGT-14[For disclosure of interest in MBP-1]
1) Appointment as additional director is not mandatory. He can be directly appointed in general meeting.
2) MGT.14 is not required to be filed.
