CA is recognised and accepted by employers across the gulf.... However, articleship, lack of coaching and near absence of fellow ca colleagues makes CFA better for you..... You can work alongside studies... And a CFA will compliment your MBA degree much more than a CA.... Doing CA will take around 4 years to complete while a CFA will take around 2.5 to 3.... ALso, CFA Institute is much more lenient about work experience requirements for getting the CFA charter...

hey thanks, are u currently doing ur cfa in dubai , and wat abt the pass percentage of students clearing the exam, is it possible to self learn or is coaching required ?

Passing CFA is much more difficult than passing CA. For CA, a good memory is required. For CFA, you need lots and lots of conceptual clarity. Self study is the norm for CFA.... Pass % is around 40 % for each level of CFA but it would be wise of you not to consider that while making your decision. I am doing both CA & CFA from Mumbai....
