Advice needed.!

I need some advice for my friend.

My friend cleared the IPCC nov 2011 exams(both groups).Since he was not expecting to clear as he had fallen sick during exams and he is a graduate so applied and got a job in a reputed bank and went ahead with it and worked for december-february.After the results,he was surprised that he cleared and now wants to continue with CA.He has certain queries.

1) Does the CA course permit one to do a job during the period of exam and result? Will ICAI oppose??

2.) Should one mention it in one's resume as the experience is only of 3 months.

Thanks !!

No, ICAI does not recognise working in bank or a company. Your friend will have to work under a practising CA for a period of 3 years.

As regards showing experience of 3 months, well it can be a good idea while applying for articleship and there is no harm at least at this stage.

Thanks!

but isnt it a rule of ICAI not to enroll for any other course or job while pursuing CA? Please let me know of whats the rule?

While doing your articleship joining any other job is barred.

RESTRICTION IS ONLY DURING ARTICLESHIP.

no icai will not oppos it and yes he shuld mention in his resume abt his experience as on this basis he may get preference and bit highr stipnd
