How you see the world. How you deal with it. That determines your real wealth.

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"

"It was great, Dad."

"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.

"Oh yeah," said the son.

"So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?", asked the father

The son answered:

"I saw that we have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.

We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them."

The boy's father was speechless. Then his son added...

"Thanks Dad for showing me
how poor we are
."

It's an old story re-posted. Still its worth reading it Sanket ji, thanks for sharing.

I guess there is no need to differenciate between rich and poor... after all both are humanbeings...!!!

Good moral.. Hope we all lear to use this moral effectively practically...!!

Keep sharing...!!

Rationally - Poor is Poor, and Rich is Rich. Those who don't have money are poor. The moment you accept it, it liberates you. You don't have to focus on what others have, and what you don't have. That is the feeling everyone has (rich or poor). The moment you accept the FACT (rich, or poor, either way), you start thinking about "what next", instead of lingering on and self pity.

Fact is this:- Poor do self-pity, that rich are so happy, they have all the luxury, all the money, houses, cars, etc. etc. And The Rich also do self-pity, that poor have friends, skies, yard till the horizon, connection with nature, simple life, etc. etc.. All these are possesive impulses, not creative impulses. (If you don't understand this, read Bertrand Russel on "Political Ideals", it's free on Gutenberg and a must read. https://www.gutenberg.org/files/4776/4776-h/4776-h.htm ).
