Tds on interest on fdrs

This query is : Resolved

19 July 2012 I have a bank account in SBOP branch (A). I deposited money in the account and made FDR in the same bank branch and the intt is subject to TDS.
I, again, deposited money in the same account and made FDR in another branch of SBOP (B).
My query is whether the TDS will be deducted by the (A) branch totally on the two FDRs or both the branches will deduct TDS on their resp. FDRs.
Also, if the intt on FDR in branch (B) is less than 10000 and intt on FDR in branch (A) is more than 10000, then what will be the amount subject to TDS.
Please reply.
Thanx

19 July 2012 Tds on FDR is 10% if you provide pan otherwise 20%.
threshold limit of interest on fdr(194A)-10000 Rs per bank branch.
if you have fdr on sbop bank two branch.
then threshold limit Rs 10000 per branchnot a bank.
BOTH BRANCHWILL DEDUCT TDSON THEIR RESPECTIVE FDR.

19 July 2012 IN SECOND QUESTION BRANCH(A) WILL DEDUCT TDS .BRANCH(B) SHOULD NOT DEDUCT TDS ON FDR.
