Forign Invoice

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies that receiving orders from abroad with payment in foreign exchange, but where goods are delivered within India, is considered a domestic transaction, not an export. Goods must physically leave India for it to be classified as an export. GST will be applicable on this domestic sale. While a commercial invoice isn't strictly necessary for domestic delivery, it can be generated for internal purposes if the buyer requests it. The discussion also advises consulting a professional for specific guidance on invoicing and the full process.

17 February 2023 We received a orders from outside India but goods shall be delivered within India and payment will be receivable through Foreign exchange

Our Question is :-
1) whether transaction shall be treated as export or domestic transaction ?
2) GST applicable in the above case?
3) If GST applicable then we will make 02(two) Invoice i.e Commercial Invoice & Indian Invoice ??

17 February 2023 It is not export. Yes GST will be applicable When you are delivering in India itself no need for commercial invoice. But if the buyer is insisting you can generate as your internal document.

18 February 2023 For Export of Goods, Goods should make movement from India to Outside India, which is not the case in your example and as rightly said by Expert , its not Export and it will be considered as Domestic Transactio

18 February 2023 When we will make Invoice Bill to.... and ship to.... which party name mention......................

18 February 2023 Always Engage a professional for guidance for full process

18 February 2023 Even I would suggest same that Consult a Professional because such queries cannot be answered on public portal. Hope you can understand
