I, CA Alexandar Gazi, a Kolkata based practicing Chartered Accountant. The Proprietor of Gazi & Associates, Chartered Accountants. I have an experience of more tthan ten years in the fields of accounting, auditing & taxation. I passed the Chartered Accoutancy final examination in the year, 2002 (May term).

I born and brought up in a village (Uttar Durgapur) of south 24 pgs, the southest district of West Bengal. Our village is situated about 50 kilometeres far from the City Kolkata.

Dear Sir, I have obtained your mail id from CAclubIndia. May I request you to extend your kind cooperation in resolving my issue. Presently I am associated with a State Government Organisation in Kolkata, West Bengal. Our management has decided to construct our own Office Building in our owned land in Kolkata. Three options are presently in mind 1) B.O.T - Build Operate Transfer - Construction will be built by a Third Party. A space will be provided to us for our office use and the rest area will be leased by the builder to others to generate the money expended by them. After the completion of the leased period the property will be transferred to us and the entire building will be our sole property. 2) Joint Venture i.e., between us and any third party 3) Own Funding I would like to request you to let me know whether Service Tax is attracted in any of the options as stated above. I have given my best effort to resolve the same however no success obtained. Request you once again to give me some of your precious time in replying back to my query.
