CA. BIJENDER KR. BANSAL says : TDS ON FREIGHT ON PURCHASE BILL
Dear Sir, Our company is purchasing raw material from Reliance. Reliance is charging freight on the purchase bill. Reliance mentioned on the bill that service tax liability is on the consignee i.e. purchaser. Now we are depositing service tax on it and deducting TDS on the freight amount also. Reliance attached bilty of transporter , we paid total amount to Reliance after deducting TDS. Now we are correct or not. Plase help asap
