  • Ashwin says : regarding input service tax credit
    Dear sir, Our company has some x amount of input service tax credit on construction , erection of power plant... recently it purchased a manufaturing plant and got excise registration.... now we want to avail input service tax credit ..and utilize it and set off agianst excise duty ...we will utilize the credit only after utilizing the power as input for that manufaturing unit... but dept is denying that credit for the reason it is accumulated prior to excise registration... kindly throw light on this issue with some case laws. .
