The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has requested the extension.
The request has been made to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).
ICSI is requesting an extension of 30 days for the filing deadline.
Professionals are facing technical issues, specifically with receiving OTPs required for filing the DIR-3 KYC e-form.
The OTPs are not consistently being transmitted to the registered mobile numbers of non-resident and foreign directors, and sometimes not to email IDs either.
The current deadline for filing DIR-3 KYC is 30th September of the immediate next financial year, as per Rule 12A of the Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) Rules, 2018.
