9 crore farmer families received the 7th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.
A total of Rs 18,000 crore was deposited directly into the bank accounts of farmer families.
The Prime Minister interacted with farmers from Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh.
More than 70 lakh farmers in West Bengal have not been able to receive this benefit because the state government has stopped the verification process, despite over 23 lakh farmers applying online.
Initiatives mentioned include the Soil Health Card, Neem Coating of Urea, a scheme for distribution of Solar Pumps, better crop insurance cover, fixing MSP at one and a half times the production cost, and adding over a thousand agricultural mandis online.
The government is working towards forming more than 10,000 FPOs in the country and providing them with financial help so they can work as a collective force.
