The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) is actively working to address both technical and user-related challenges being reported on its Version 3 (V3) portal, official sources confirmed. The ministry has directed its technology partner, LTI Mindtree, to evaluate the portal's server load and determine if further capacity upgrades are needed to ensure smooth functioning.
"A lot of technical issues have already been resolved. The number of tickets being raised has reduced significantly and any issue pending beyond 48 hours is being taken up on priority," said an official source familiar with the matter.
The MCA V3 portal, which was launched with 38 new e-Forms on January 14, 2025, marked a major shift from the earlier system. Unlike Version 2, where users had to download, fill and upload forms, the new version allows users to fill forms directly online, offering greater convenience such as saving half-filled forms for later submission.

However, since its rollout, professionals, including company secretaries, Chartered Accountants and Cost Accountants, have flagged a range of issues, from login and password reset errors to difficulties saving e-form data, limited attachment size, and mandatory pre-approvals for certain filings.
User Awareness and Outreach Efforts
To improve user experience, the MCA has initiated a series of open house sessions, awareness campaigns and informative posts on social media to educate stakeholders on navigating the new system effectively.
"Awareness issues are being addressed through continuous engagement with professionals and the use of digital channels," the official added.
Institutes Step In
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), along with the Institutes of Company Secretaries (ICSI) and Cost Accountants (ICMAI), recently held a meeting to identify gaps in the portal and has also set up a dedicated helpdesk to support professionals facing difficulties.
ICAI President noted that while the user acceptance testing (UAT) before the launch had gone smoothly, some issues surfaced during large-scale implementation, a challenge common to many major digital transitions.
Positive Growth Despite Glitches
Despite the ongoing glitches, the MCA portal has witnessed strong usage. In September 2025, 23,113 companies were registered on the platform, more than double the 11,110 registrations recorded during the same month last year. Similarly, DIN allocations jumped by nearly 73% year-on-year, touching 53,217 in September 2025.
To ease compliance pressures amid ongoing portal fixes, the MCA has extended the deadline for annual form filings till December 31, 2025.
The revamped portal also features a personalized "My Application" dashboard, enabling users to track all filed forms, view their current status - such as pending DSC upload, under processing, or resubmission and manage compliance in real time.
As the ministry continues to iron out the remaining issues, industry professionals hope that the improvements in the V3 portal will soon translate into a more reliable, faster, and user-friendly digital compliance ecosystem.
