The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has announced the Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) (Amendment) Rules, 2024, which will take effect on August 1, 2024. These amendments modify existing rules, including changes to how personal mobile numbers and email addresses for directors can be updated. Specifically, updates must now be made by September 30th of the financial year, with a fee of five hundred rupees required for any subsequent updates within the same financial year via e-form DIR-3 KYC.
