The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially released the eligibility criteria and application requirements for candidates appearing in the Foundation and Intermediate Examinations scheduled for September 2025. Students are strongly advised to verify their status on the Self Service Portal (SSP) and ensure compliance with all prerequisites before attempting to fill the exam form.
Key Highlights for September 2025 Exam Applicants
Self Service Portal (SSP) Login:
Candidates must possess valid login credentials on ICAI's SSP platform. New applicants or those facing access issues should immediately register or resolve concerns at https://eservices.icai.org.
Course Registration Validity & Conversion:
- Foundation students must be registered under NEWFND23 or CONFND23.
- Intermediate students should be registered under NEWINT23 or CONINT23.
- If the course code on the student dashboard reflects an older version, students must convert to the new scheme via the SSP-no conversion fee applies.
Eligibility Criteria:
For Foundation Course:
- Must be registered on or before May 1, 2025.
- Should have either appeared in or passed the Class 12 examination from a recognized board.
- Class 12 Admit Card or Marksheet must be uploaded on SSP.
For Intermediate Course:

Must have completed 8 months of study by September 1, 2025, which means registration must have been completed on or before January 1, 2025.
Photograph & Signature Upload:
Students must ensure their latest photograph and signature are uploaded and meet ICAI's specifications:
- Photograph: 80% face visible, white background, no selfies, size 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm, 20-50 KB.
- Signature: On white paper with black ink, size 6 cm x 2 cm, 10-20 KB.
Poor quality uploads may lead to issues in the mark sheet printing and must be updated beforehand.
Group-Wise Registration:
Intermediate candidates must verify that they are registered for the group(s) they wish to appear for. These details can be confirmed through the SSP dashboard.
