The main objective was to crack down on facilities involved in the import of security paper and the printing of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN).
Seven additional modules involved in printing FICN were busted.
The modules were located in Maharashtra (4), Haryana (1), Bihar (1), and Andhra Pradesh (1).
Nine people were arrested in connection with these fake currency modules.
Seized items included fake currency notes (Rs. 50 & Rs. 100 denominations), machinery, tools, laptops, printers, pen drives, security paper, A-4 sized papers, and butter paper with Mahatma Gandhi watermarks.
The accused are being investigated under the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
