The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has announced an extension for companies to file their DIR-3 KYC and ACTIVE e-forms without incurring any fees. This compliance relief, aimed at assisting businesses during the COVID-19 outbreak, allows DIN holders with deactivated DINs and companies marked as 'ACTIVE non-compliant' to file between 1st April 2020 and 30th September 2020 without the usual INR 5,000 or INR 10,000 charges.

The deadline for filing DIR-3 KYC and ACTIVE e-forms without any filing fee is 30th September 2020.
The fee waiver applies to DIR-3 KYC, DIR-3 KYC-Web, and the ACTIVE e-form.
DIN holders whose DINs are marked as 'Deactivated' due to non-filing of DIR-3 KYC, and companies whose compliance status is marked as 'ACTIVE non-compliant' due to non-filing of the ACTIVE e-form, can benefit.
The usual filing fees were INR 5,000 for DIR-3 KYC/Web and INR 10,000 for the ACTIVE e-form.
The MCA has offered this relief in view of the COVID-19 outbreak to assist companies with their compliance requirements.
