GoI has received Rs. 6,83,297 crore upto July, 2021 comprising Rs. 5,29,189 crore Tax Revenue, Rs. 1,39,960 crore of Non Tax Revenue and Rs. 14,148 crore of Non Debt Capital Receipts. Total Expenditure incurred is Rs. 10,04,440 crore.

CBIC further extends the exemption from Customs Duty/Health Cess on Import of Covid Relief Items

CBIC via Notification No. 41/2021 - Customs dated 30th August 2021 has further extended the exemption from Customs Duty/Health Cess on the Import of Covid Relief Items, including Covid 19 Vaccine and Oxygen Related Equipment.

Date for Filing Application for Revocation of Cancellation of Registration Extended

Where the due date of filing of application for revocation of cancellation of registration falls between 1st March 2020 to 31st August 2021, the time limit for filing such application has been extended up to 30th September 2021.

CBIC amends Form GST ASMT-14 via CGST (Seventh Amendment) Rules, 2021

The filing of FORM GSTR-3B and FORM GSTR-1/ IFF by companies using EVC, instead of DSC has already been enabled for the period from 27.04.2021 to 31.08.2021. This has been further extended up to 31st October 2021.

For FY 2021-22, IT Department has issued refunds of over Rs. 51,531 crore upto 23rd August 2021

To date, 93% of the refund claims in ITRs for AY 20-21 have already been processed. In the past week, refunds of over Rs. 15,269 crore have been issued which will be credited to taxpayers shortly.

More than 43.04 crore beneficiaries banked under PMJDY since inception

PMJDY Accounts have grown three-fold from 14.72 Crore in Mar’15 to 43.04 Crore as on 18-08-2021.55% Jan-Dhan account holders are women and 67% Jan Dhan accounts are in rural and semi-urban areas.
