GSTN issues advisory on generation of EWB where the principal supply is Supply of services

In cases where the principal supply is purely a supply of service, the e-way bill is not required to be generated. However, in cases where along with the principal supply of service, movement of some goods is also involved, e-way bill may be generated.

ICAI provides Relaxation in Study Period for students appearing in May 2022 CA Inter Exams after passing July 2021 CA Foundation Exams

ICAI has announced that students who have cleared the July 2021 Foundation Examination are required to register in the Intermediate Course till November 1, 2021, in order to appear in the May 2022 Intermediate Examination.

India and Singapore to link their Fast Payment Systems - Unified Payments Interface and PayNow

The UPI-PayNow linkage will enable users of each of the two fast payment systems to make instant, low-cost fund transfers on a reciprocal basis without a need to get onboarded onto the other payment system.

DGGI Gurugram arrests 3 persons, including mastermind, commission agent and CA in racket of fictitious firms involving fake ITC of 121 crore

From the investigation conducted till date, it has been established that one of the arrested persons has created at least 13 firms and has been involved in availing and passing on of a total fraudulent ITC of Rs 121 crore.

11 States meet the target for capital expenditure in Q-1 of 2021-22

Out of the net borrowing ceiling (NBC) of 4% of GSDP for the States for 2021-22, 0.50 percent of GSDP was earmarked for incremental capital expenditure to be incurred by the States during 2021-22.
