Why no news of campus placement @ icai website?

Pass karoge ? what kind of theory is this ? Arre Bhai Students are Studying Hard to pass CA Exam in first attempt. And more of Intelligent students are joining CA course these Days. So increase in supply is natural. But demand is also not that low. Initially packages might not be that good but with work -ex everything gets fine.

The standard of Question paper has fallen over the years. Forget about the standards, even easy-papers are full of errors..........

thank god; that the machinery of ICAI is slower than the economic reforms of UPA govt; if they start giving grace marks to every tom and harry; this pass pc will surge to 30pc........

Dont mind bro.........but the people at the CC of ICAI are busy shooting their portfolios, cutting ribbons,bhumi pujans; rather than improving the quality of passouts.

Can you answer why the Companies didn't even fulfill their vacancies at campus placements? Coz they don't want ratta-maar passouts or rot-learners.

They might be "intelligent" during their class 12 exams, rotting down notes scribbled by their tution teachers, guide books, etc..........but CA is a different field.

Standard is still there Brother. I told you earlier also that more of Intelligent students are Joining commerce & then CA. Commerce Stream is equally Lucrative to Science. Moreover, students are getting professional coaching specially thr' Satellite based medium. So everyone thoughout India is capable to Pass CA. Also, students are aware now about good standard of CA. They have seen the past trends in CA results. And there is nothing like that ICAI controls result. A misconception among CA students. I don't think so that ICAI will have any problem in declaring even 100% result. 

Co's were not able to fulfill their vacancies. I know. But this could be the fault of CA Freshers. AFter Becoming CA, their expectations are so high. They don't undertstand that they have to work 2-3 years at Low packages & Learn the work Bcoz there is lot of difference between what he/she did as an Article Clerk & what they are going to do as CA in Co.'s. WHy would Co.'s pay them so high ? Freshers don't know anything.

Question papers can be made more tough(rather than an easy paper full of mistakes). Make revolutionary changes in training methods. Regarding high salary expectations; ITC had salary of 14 lacs and even rankers couldn't crack it......lol

Recruiters expect candidates to have knowledge of current affairs as well. But here, freshers don't even practical grasp of the subjects they have learnt(read mugged up); current topics like GAAR, retrospective amendments toh duur ki baat he.

Command over English is another shortcoming.

Companies have bond bcoz they know due to job shortage, koi na koi CA bakra lelegaa. And top Cos go for genuine talent; but when they don't find any during interviews......that tarnishes the image of entire fraternity, which makes placements of future passouts even more difficult.

Can u ask any 2  of your friends(those who got over 45 in a subject) and have obtained their answersheet. Check how marks have been given to each of the questions.......Even if the answers are as per suggested answer or are somewhat same to each other; one guy will have got 4/5; and the other 1/5................check it..........i have found such discrepancy myself.

THEY ARE GOING BY QUANTITY RAHTER THEN QAULITY.

I think these problems are coming to light only after ICAI sarted conducting Campus placement. In pre-2009 era everybody searched for jobs off campus and there was no info available on website. I m sure many people would have faced similar situation at that time,buit because of sites like CAClub,we are much more informed than our seniors. And after 3 years down the line nobody stays unemployed. ANd it is not that all the older CAs are employed to their full potential,they are under employed too

As for question papers,ICAI questions are same but approach of asking  is different. For ex- earlier question asked was "What is SDLC? Explain its stages?" for 16 marks. But now there are 4 questions about different stages in case study format. 

For increase in number of passouts, I remember in 2008 ICAI conference, stats for CA final students were announced. It was around 40,000 total number of students,but now in every single attempt there are more than 40000 students and obviously now more people are attracted towards CA.

As far as campus concerned totally fail this time I dont understand about procedure of recruitmnt at ICAI campus Criteria for company is only 1st attempt student max 2 attempt this is very bad Knowledgble people giving 4-5 attempt not recruited and people who are having less practical knowledge passed in first attempt by doing dummy articleship are recruited every time in campus

Exactly.. Quality of CA is decreasing day by day. If more student is willing to become Ca then ICAI should make high std. 4 passing the candidates. Instead of which ICAI is continuously passing mor n mor Canditates. Till Nov,2010 there were only 400000 Ca in country. but after 2 attempts,more than 25000 CA hav Been passed. Even first Attemt pass-out are not getting job. Wht's dis........

I totally agree wid Jose sir,,, i am staying in a CA hostel,, all i am hearing from my seniors is that they have to struggle a lot,, even the first attempt CAs,,

i am worrying that if this trend continues,, What i will get????

we had nearly 1,70,000 CAs in 60 years bt in last couple of attempts,, they passed 25000 CAs,,,,

the question is should i do CA only or Should i opt for few more courses like CS , MBA , etc.

IS MY FUTURE SECURE?????

Our ICAI does not feels it their responsibility to provide jobs to freshers. If there are no jobs for freshers, then how each engineer and MBA gets placed in their campus each semester??? Our Institute is only interested in taking fees from companies and students. It has such foolish rules for campus placement that for 1 seat, 15 candidates will be shortlisted. Even each CA does not gets a chance to get interviewed by the company, leave the question of selection and package. And the story does not ends here. Even their software shortlists students who have not been actually shortlisted by the companies. And when the candidates reach the Interview Hall, they exclaim a big SORRY!!! Wat the Hell???? When will the Institute realize that it's their duty to provide a platform to their young and frsh Chartered Accountants. Because, no doubt we have numerous Openings for CAs but not for freshers'for CAs having an exp of 2-3 years. And the irony is the exp. of CA firms do not count in the industry and each one does not have references in industry....

the persons who says that the qualitu of the ca is decreasing day by day , i think they should join the  other courses and please ca ko chod do.    yar just increase ur skills and the opportunity for the ca's are in millions so in india and abroad as well.  just improve ur presentation skills and keep moral high.

@ rhaul.. i guess name is correct..!! dont guide me about presentation and all. I have cracked ITC LTD. off campus interview route, which is among the toughest, i reached last stage of procter and gamble interview. Do you know anything about wat u r saying. I had a batch of around 50 in gmcs and only 3-4 are placed. And earlier there was no chartered accountant idle.
