It will be same as for may '11 exam i.e AY 11-12.

ay 2011-12

Same as May'11. P.Y.10-11; A.Y. 11-12.
2011-12. . . . . . . . .

Kill the confusion, the simple rule: the on-going assessment year for any term.

For Nov 11, AY 11-12 (PY/FY 10-11);

May-Nov 12, AY 12-13 (PY/FY 11-12), so on..

a.y.-2011-12

same as may 11

P.Y 10-11

A.Y 11-12

Finance Act 2010 is applicable for financial year 2010-11

and Finance Act 2011 is applicable for financial year 2011-12

and for fy 2010-11 , assessment year is 2011-12

and for fy 2011-12 , assessment year is 2012-13.

IN simple words , for may and nov, 2011 exams = Finance Act 2010 is applicable , hence py 2010-11 and Ay 2011-12.

For may and nov,2012 exams = Finance Act 2011 is applicable, hence Py 2011-12 and Ay 2012-13.

It should be 11-12 for Nov 11 as everyone suggesting.
