What now my Lord?

I have seen the sun; I have seen the rain,

I have seen happiness; I have felt pain,

I have heard the wind; I have felt the breeze,

I have heard the rustling and the falling of leaves,

I have seen a sunny day and a lovely night,

I have seen waves and colours so bright,

I have seen people; I have known a lot,

There have been many battles, which I have fought,

Some I have won; others I have lost,

But anyway all that is now past.

Now there is only ‘You’ I want to meet.

A lot many answers I want to seek.

Oh God: is there anything called a soul,

Which is affected by a man’s role,

Is there a heaven & a hell,

An angel’s abode & a devil’s cell?

Of my life, I have made a mess;

This fact I must confess.

I may have sinned and I may sin again,

Will you forgive me or merely call me insane?

Oh God: I want your help.

I need ‘You’ near me;

Coz, after all I’m just a human being you see!
