Is there any difference between Non-profit organisations and Non-trading concerns..?

Could anyone tell me even if there is a thin line of difference.

Thanks & Regards,

No difference between NPO and NTO

NOT FOR PROFIT  R THOSE WHOSE PRIMARY MOTIVE IS NOT PROFIT E,G. CHARITABLE HOSPITALS

BUT NON TRADING FIRMS R THAT WHICH R NOT DOING ANY TRADING OF GOODS BUT THERE MOTIVE MAY BE PROFIT SEEKING, E.G. PRIVATE SCHOOLS

RACTIFY ME IF I AM WRONG

yes you are right... but only one thing i'd like to say is that Non trading concerns are  also institutions  not for carrying a business and profit  making.

NPO- Those organisations which do not distribute surplus to owners but use it in humane work like welfare of society. Eg- Khadi gramodyog, Apna Bazaar, Mahila gramodyog mission etc.

NTO- Those NPOs which are into service industry, not trading or manufacturing industry. Eg- Charitable institutes & hospitals.

NTO is type of NPO.

Those organisations whose aim is profit making for owners & are in service industry are not NTOs. Those are simply called service providers. Eg- Pvt Colleges & Schools, Agents, Professionals etc.

Thus, every NTO is NPO but every NPO is not NTO.

@ Vivek, First of all thank you very much for your valuable explanation to my question.

And  I am sorry to ask like this and to interrupt you ---- you are saying that NTO is one type of NPO but my question is,,, NPO is purely not profit based and NTO may be in the intention of earning profits then how it might be the type of NPO...?

NTO- Those NPOs which are into service industry,(here you use which are into service industry) not trading or manufacturing industry. Eg- Charitable institutes & hospitals. & Those organisations whose aim is profit making for owners & are in service industry are not NTOs(here u said, which are in service industry are not NTOs). Those are simply called service providers.

I am confused could you tell me clearly once again. My observation is NTC - it might be the service industry but purely non trading and not manufacturing and in the case of service providers - it is purely and completely service oriented and not profit motive right..? Am i correct...? Is this your intention?

Thank you. And please ignore if i asked you the question in harsh way.
