What about the old ca final students? Do we have any hopes for having one or two additional attempts under the old syllabus?

(NOTE: I gave my exam in nov 10, in old syllabus. I dont think i will clear my exam this time also. Please dont say, wait for results and then discuss etc.... I think everybody knows their own result after giving the papers... So why to wait for the results to start a preparation if one is unsure of his / her success? Please try to understand, whoever not confinedent about their results need to think in advance.... thats why i am asking this here even before the results.... )

>> As per last announcement by ICAI in this regard, they said we will be charged1100/- towards conversion and study material cost.. So, when and where to send the demand draft?

>> I live in a small town where ICAI branch is not there, even if along with exam form they said to send the 1100 DD then, you know, by post how many days it will take to receive the study material.... i think atleast 1 month....approx after 15th march... so, it will really be very short time through the new part in the short time.....

Even myself left out with 2nd grp of old final. Writing for past 3 attempts incl this nov 2010. I can't say anything abt my results. Becuz everyone knws papers were tough. How would the valuation be. I hope so announcement on the transfer would be after 21st jan. 2011. So better wait nd watch.

-student registered under old scheme can switch over to new scheme of education

and training by making a remittance of 1100/- to the concerned decentralized regional

office. The study material for Final (New) Course will be provided without any further

payment

-No chance to further extension of ca final old..

-If u r so confident then send now1100 to concert decentraised office

-Yaa u have to prepare in short time for may 2011..but dude there is almost NO diffrence in old n new syllabus except indirect contains VAT,1 extra topic in costing.....its like old wine in new pack..its mentally that new is new :)

i am suferring with this uncertainity as what will be the future. old / New this should be communicated to Students well in advance.

i request to maol me the details in this regard

Hi,

I am left out with my CA final grp 1... Couldnt give in last few attempts due to some personal reasons. Wanted to know, once i register to new syllabus do i need to give both the groups or I am eligible to give only the left over group?

I think there are lots of questions not made clear by ICAI. They should address it soon. Statistically speaking, most of the examinees in Old course will not succeed, thanks to 2%-5% passing ratio. So, in short time, there will be whole bunch of people who will be shifting from Old course to new course. What is the ICAI's idea on tackling that??

I only suggest to wait and watch.
