Dear friends,

anyone of you can tell me if we are copying vlookup formula from one cell to another after locking the range then it copies the same formula without change.

i want to change the column reference when i copy the formula from one cell to another. can you tell me if thr is any process or macro for the same.

If you are copying the formula completely then the column will automaticcly change but if you are copying the text only (means words defines after the = (equal sign))  the same coulmn value is pasted. Please check the way of copying first.

vlookup(criteria,datarange,column no.,true/false)

Dear Mohan

I understand you have given absolute reference e.g. $A$1.

Delete $ from column reference (for given example it would be deleting $ before "A" and result would be like A$1)  and its done.
