Hi,
I'm salaried employee. I had purchased vehicle last year, i want to know can i claim vehicle depreciation claim while filling income tax return.
Fyi, i do get perquistes from my company which include driver and fuel allowance.

Depreciation is not a deductible expenditure from income from salaries. Its only available for assessees having income under the head BP...
for non business assessee vehicle is not a capital asset but a personal effect, here they can not claim any depriciation or captail loss/ capital gain.
