VAT Returns starts from when?

As per KVAt laws, in the month from which you Got TIN, you should start filing your monthly VAT return even if there is no transaction. i.e. NIL return. regarding GVAT, you may wait for other replies.

I agree with your point. What I am asking is in your reply from when I can say "Company Got TIN". Whether it is to be understood from date of actual reciept of VAT Certificate in hand or from the date of successfully filling application for VAT Registration.

This question arises beacuse VAT Registration Certificate will show your Registration date as Date of Application of Registration form successfully filed and not the date of actual receipt of Registration Certificate in hand.

if  the date of filing of VAT registration application online and  the date on VAT registration certificate is same, then from the month in which you have applied, you will have to file the VAt returns from that month as you have become a registered dealer from that month. In karnataka, still online applicatin for taking VAT registration has not been started.

My Registration is online. Date of Registration is also same as Online submission of Registration Form. So I need to file it from that date only nevertheless I am pertaining to Gujarat or Karnataka. Online rules wont be different for different states atleast for procedural aspects of VAT.
