I like to know if VAT 100 , the monthly return under Karnataka Vat is filed after due date ie 20th of subsequent month because 20th being Govt holiday i/ Sunday allowed, if allowed the section number please.

It is not allowed. However belated return are accepted without any bribe and penalty. so go ahead and file.

Under the General Clauses Act, if the due date is happened to be an holiday the next working day is the due date.So, if you have filed the returns in the next working day then it is a valid return filed in time
