We would like to know how to apply VAT number for our software private limited company. We are not only dealing with services but also planning to develop products. If we are selling through online applications like www.market.android.com or Apple's iStore, we are assuming that our activities come under VAT (are we right?). Our company is registered in Andhra Pradesh and has developement center at Bangalore, Karnataka. In this kind of scenario, I would like to know how to register VAT and in which state we need to register. If you provide us the website name through which we can register VAT online then it would be great helpful.
