Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether an Indian service provider can correctly issue and receive payments in USD. It confirms that raising and receiving USD invoices is permissible, particularly if it qualifies as an export of services under the IGST Act and is permitted by the RBI. Key considerations include obtaining an IEC Code and GST Registration, with no GST payable if a Letter of Undertaking is filed, and regular GST returns must be submitted.
Yes you can raise in USD and get the same in USD. However if the customer is outside India then it becomes export of services. in such case, you have to apply for IEC Code and GST Registration. no GST is payable if Letter of Undertaking is filed. GST Return to be filed on regular basis
