as like u i m going to wright may2014 till now i didnt started yet even a single subject so 1st of all plss dnt wory about the time ... Gurukripa is gong to start full time batche for nov13, may 14 only for 3.5 months i think irrespective if coaching ( wheather good , avg or bad ) we can complete our coaaching by aug mid starts from by may end . 

 then after we can get around 8 mnths of complete study so can crack the final 

its not an advice its my plan  i m jus informing u :)

Hmm looking for other's views also on this whether ample time is there for preparation or is it late or something... Because some of my friends started attending tutions 1 year back.. Their attempt is also same as mine i.e May 14.

You HAve Enough Time For Preparation. Only Self Study Makes You perfect Or Clear You attempt.

REfer Some Good Books And Solve as much questions as you can.

Start With Financial Reporting More Focus On Accounting Standards(Imp also in audit 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22, 26, 30, 31, 32), Consolidation And Amalgamation( Covers 36-40 marks)

SFM is the easiest and short subject. So do as much practice as you can. This is a scoring subject and you can easily get upto 70 marks in that. Take help of friends for hard chapters.Rakesh MAkkar Book is very Helful for this

In Audit Imp Chapters are CA Act  Professional Ethics and BAnk, Tax And Other Audit, Peer Review, Audit Committee. Read Revised Standards On Auditing. Surbhi BAnsal Book iS very short and easy for audit

In Corporate LawImportant Chapters are

•Directors (on an average 20 marks)
• Inter Corporate Loans and Investments (Very Imp chapter)
• Compromises, Arrangement and Amalgamation
• Prevention of Oppression and Mismanagement
• Producer Companies (One of the most important chapters)

And DONT Read

1. The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 1999.
2. The SARFAESI Act, 2002.
3. Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002:

Also if somebody could guide me as in which are the subjects wherein you can completely ignore ICAI Mat and which are the subjects where Study material cannot be ignored at all.

Also if somebody could share the Time Table as to how to approach these 11 months would be great.. I know everybody has a different mindset and approach in one's preparation, but if someone could share their Time Table i would get a fair idea as to approach these 11 months of preparation.

U already have sufficient time on hand.

U can prepare well enough in the 4 months leave.

Ri8 now u need to concentrate on ur articleship exposure that will surely gonna help u in ur exams...

 

Hi Himanshu.. Thanks.. I am actually doing that.. taking articleship seriously n trying to learn as much as i can.. But really confused with preparations as I dont want to waste time any further.. Want to start off right away.. So if you could share some inputs wrt preparation, it would be great... something like which subject would be best to start off, which subject needs more prep time etc...
