my client is voluntarily registered but it's turnover is less then threshold limit of Rs.20 lakh then which type of invoice is required to be issued ?

No matter with turnover if he is normal dealer than he must issue TAX INVOICE.
should composite dealer must show tax analysis
like ex tax 100
add GST. 28= 128
like ex tax 100

If registered then follow all rules and regulations under GST regime...
Also you are Regular dealer then use "Tax Invoice"...
If you are Composition Dealer then use "Bill of Supply"...
