as per tax audit what is mean by gross receipts 6 % 5 % 8 %??? how to applicable ... how it's working could you please give me an example

suppose if one person opting the new tax regime means if he receives salary up to 5 lacs yearly income monthly he receives 42000 means no TDS is applicable???
