Tds problem

As far as  i knew, there is no mechanism to change AY for wrong payments of TDS. However. However if the amount is too big, then you may request the Cheif Commissioner of Income Tax. He is the only person who will have such power to process or resolve your concern.

Pl inform your AO reg. mistake of Asst. Year and make correction

If you have paid TDS through Manual challan, there is a facility to make correction.(for details visit  tin-nsdl website).

But if you paid TDS challan through E-Payment, there is no facility to make correction.

And if you paid that challan through e-payment, you can file your tds return with that challan and when you received a Notice from Income Tax Department to pay that amount, then u can give a reply with the actual problem happend to the Assessment Officer along with that Challan.
