TDS on Freight mentioned in Shipping Bills?

Tds is deducted on Freight Charges except Rail Freight Charges. Hence, it seems that Tds would be dedcuted in your case. But could you elaborate further about the expenses as to who is incurring them ?

Cash payment has no relevance with Tds deduction. If a Single Freight Bill exceeds Rs, 20,000 then Tds would be deducted. However if Total Freight Billing during the year from a particular party exceeds Rs. 50,000, then Tds would be deducted on all the bills of that particular party raised during that year. The mode of payment doesn't matter.
