Yes. TDS provisions do apply to CHS deposits with the bank
But practically many co-op banks are not applying TDS on deposits of Housing Societies. Now the question arises how do we take clear stand..

Yes Co-op. hsg. Soc also have a pan no and can file return under itr 5
